Prenatal Assessment and Education: 

One-hour consultation, to review your medical history and discuss your specific concerns.  This visit also includes information on selecting a breast pump for your specific needs.

Fee:  $45

Mother & Baby Lactation Consultation:

The initial consultation generally lasts 2-2.5 hours and will include an assessment of both baby's oral/motor skills and mother's breasts.  The focus of the visit will be evaluating the effectiveness of a feeding.  We develop a plan to help mother reach her breastfeeding goals.  Unlimited phone and email follow-up is included for 2 weeks after consult.  Reports are provided for primary health care providers.

Fee:  $100

When multiple babies are involved in any consultation, there is an additional fee of $25 per baby

Follow-up Consultation:

There are times when a concern may need more than one visit to resolve the situation.  The focus again will be on the effectiveness of a feeding.  Unlimited phone and email follow-up is included for 2 weeks after consult.  Reports are provided for primary health care providers. 

Fee:  $75

 Gift Certificates: 

Decorative Gift Certificates are available for baby showers and gifts. 

Pumping Consultation:

Learn how to use your breast pump effectively.  During this hour visit, we will discuss how and when to pump to protect your milk supply. 

Fee:  $45

Combination Package:

This package contains both a Prenatal Visit and a Mother & Baby Consult

Fee:  $125

Super Combination Package:

This package contains a Prenatal Visit, Mother & Baby Consult, and one Follow-up Home Visit.

Fee:  $200

Travel Fee:  Do to rising gasoline costs, a modest travel fee may be added to service fee. 

Payment is due at the time of service. Cash or checks are accepted. If you desire to use a credit/debit card, pre-payment through a Paypal account can be accepted, just ask.

Worried about cost? An appointment with Lactation Resource Center costs way less than a month of formula! On average a month of formula can cost families around $200-$300 . 

Insurance - After your visit, you will be provided with a detailed, coded receipt that you may submit to your insurance company. We do not bill insurance on your behalf but we do try to make sure you have all the neccessary paperwork you made need to submit for reimbursement. Although many insurance companies do cover lactation care, we can not guarantee our services will be covered by your company. Some families also choose to use funds from their pre-tax medical spending accounts to cover lactation services. Please check with your plan or account provider to see what options you may have.

• Lactation Resource Center believes all mothers, regardless of income,  should have access to quality lactation care.  Quality lactation support is far less expensive than the option of not breastfeeding!  Feel free to contact us if you need to discuss alternative payment options or would like information on other sources of community-based support.
